The goal of the campaign is to shatter the wall of political inaction, greenwashing, and slow measures being taken to combat the climate crisis. By organizing a global wave of action, including the hunger strike, the coalition aims to raise awareness, mobilize millions of people, and demand swift, effective measures from governments and the international community.

The Global Hunger Strike for Climate coalition is a collective of concerned organizations and citizens from around the world who have joined together in a coordinated Global Wave of Climate Action. At the core of this movement is an international hunger strike, aimed at demanding urgent action to address the climate and ecological crisis.

The hunger strike and the global wave of action will commence on the 1st of November and continue through the COP28 (Conference of the Parties) in Dubai, UAE. This critical period will serve as a resounding wake-up call to leaders before and during the climate conference.

There are several ways to participate in the Hunger Strike for Climate. As an organization, you can take the lead and join the strike by filling out the form on our website. Similarly, as an individual, you can also join the hunger strike by filling out the individual form. Your participation will contribute to the international coordinated wave of action and amplify the call for urgent climate action.

The global wave of action includes a variety of initiatives to engage people from all walks of life. These initiatives include academic and school strikes, protests, art exhibitions, synchronized meditations, sports events, planting days, and vibrant end-of-the-world festivals and parties.
