My name is Mugisha Herbert born & raised in Uganda since 1997. I am 26 years old. 

I hold a degree in laws and while at the law school, I interested myself with only one kind of law (environmental law) amidst all the laws that were taught to me. Environmental or climate issues are some of the most pressing challenges we face today. I believe that by leveraging the legal system, we can make a real impact in preserving our natural world and ensuring a sustainable future for all.

Climate change happens everyday and we ought to join hands and find solutions. As a concerned individual about climate, I have founded a climate change activism initiative and also I have written different pieces of literature preaching the gospel of environment conservation and preservation. These are posted on my / the initiative’s various digital platforms. Am a member of different climate justice movements in my country with a great vision of facing climate change threats or problems with sustainable solutions. This is because these problems or threats are being felt thus the need to look for solutions both collectively and on an individual basis.

For the past two years, I have met different individuals, institutions and organizations who have  great passion to defend the environment and I believe that the existence of such organized groups in any community will cause a great impact on society with impactful climate actions.

The journey of climate change activism is sometimes difficult due to the too demanding political environments we live in but the resilience and great passion to see better communities in better environments keeps us moving.

I believe that combined efforts and voices can break any barrier to create change and I have vowed to always talk about climate change wherever I go because climate concerns us all.

I encourage individuals and organizations to explore other impactful ways to address hunger issues, such as supporting local charities, volunteering, and advocating for sustainable policies.
